Early career researchers : individuals who have been awarded their PhD/MD not more than 10 years prior to the workshop (or have equivalent experience) from the UK and India are eligible to apply. Travel, accommodation and other workshop expenses will be covered by the Newton Researcher Links programme.


The deadline for submission of the application online is 25 July 2016.
Selected applicants will be notified by email on 07 August 2016.


1) Only applications submitted using this form will be considered.
2) The application must be submitted before the deadline, 15 July 2016.
3) The applicant must be an early career researcher.
4) The applicant must have a research or academic position (either a permanent post, research contract, or a fellowship) at a recognised research institution either in the UK or in India.

Selection procedure involves eligibility check followed by quality assessment.


Quality Assessment will be based on:
1) The experience and relevance of the applicant’s research area to the workshop.
2) Motivation and contribution to the objectives of the workshop.
3) Description of the long term impact expected through participation in the workshop.
4) The applicant's ability to disseminate the workshop’s outcomes.
